    Hey Roderick

You should pack some of your snuff in recycled Marmite jars. That would be a classy presentation, and they already have the Toque colors.

I'd de-label them, and use a vintage style design. The American brands would be good inspiration for style. Use it for specialty snuff that isn't on the permanent roster as of yet. That way demand won't exceed supply.

You could probably buy the jars new, but why clog the planet with new crap, when there's so much usable old crap around? I imagine Marmite jars are easy to come by over there, and that would give your snuff some funky artisan appeal :^)

That's what they used to do in the olden days. You'd go to your tobacconist and have them fill you snuff tin or any other container you wanted. In some ways, the past was greener than the future.

It shouldn't cost too much. I figure put out some ads around town, and pay people 40¢ a piece for the jars. Add another 10¢ to pay for cleaning costs. It would cost a bit more to ship due to weight, and it being glass, but I don't see why it should cost the end user much more than $1 extra, and that would be camouflaged by the quantity being bought(I estimate 30g-50g per jar). The benefit to the consumer is they get a cool looking jar that can be reused, and Toque gets lasting advertising value from the collectible :^)

I especially like the idea of used jars because it turns junk into something useful, and gives it all a small timey feel. Tabasco got it's start by packing the sauce in perfume bottles. It would have to be limited to special snuffs due the the nature of the materials, but that would be a great way to release limited edition snuff.

Hell, if you were in America Roderick, I could probably get you a bunch of old Bromo Seltzer bottles. They'd have to be reserved for /very/ special snuff due to the difficulty of sourcing materials, but the cobalt blue glass would make a very sweet snuff bottle, and a nice collectible :^)
