I've only had Day's Work plug, I thought it was called Day's O' Work plug as it has a "o" in the middle. I liked the taste, but preferred the loose leaf. I of course haven't had the Levi plug, there is also a Red Man plug, and a few others, my local grocery also has Cannon Ball plug, and some twists, I think it was Cumberland sweet, but the packaging looked different than the Cumberland Sweet twist I bought at a tobacco shop.

Yeah, I'll have to do a little research. I asked the lady for RedMan plug, but she was all out, so I took the Levi. It was $5.25 for the Levi plug, which is about 2 inches wide, 4 inches long, and a 1/2 inch thick (get your minds out of the gutter!). I like the plug tobacco just for the nostalgia, but if you get more for your money with loose leaf, I may go that route. I only use chaw when I'm charcoaling, fishing, or working in the field.

Right now, I threw in a big lip of Timber Wolf Straight LC, finished up the can, kind of a big lip, but it was not enough for two, so I just shoved it in. Of course when I spit, a lot of the flakes come out.

Damn, back round 20+ years ago I remember dippin some "Gold River" and I used to swallow the spit like I do with snus.... Tasted like candy after a good 3finger 'chaw' of cope.

I had a major craving to try a old school tobacco plug and went to the local store and picked this up last night. Was originally looking for RedMan plug but they only had cannonball and day's work.

Made sure the wife was busy and went into the garage to test it out. I sunk my teeth in only to realize this stuff was not a candy bar and tore a quarter of it off like a angry beast. I was fully ready for a super sweet syrup tobacco shot but was surprised at the dryness at first and the just about right sweetness that compliments the tobacco. It was really enjoyable with a perfect buzz.

I guess back when these were made they were the A-1 of tobacco and the trimmings called "scrap" is what chewing tobacco is today. Nowhere can I find a tsna count on these suckers but if I find out it is low enough I might partake in these once in awhile with my daily snus use.

My local grocer has these, and Days Work, I've only had the Days Work. They look, and are packaged the same.

Hi. Can you tell what is the difference between plug chewing tobacco or "plug" and regular chewing tobacco? How does it work?
