    Boy, that's a switch ..
whatwith the big boys' stranglehold on keeping competition away.

Ya got some pretty savvy dudes & dudettes in the Windy City!
Along with merchants who can plan for the future.

We could use some of that foresight here in the Bay State!

Now that I got my Generals, and I hated the Mellow, and Frost, I am reluctant to try the Robust, and not sure I want to. Remember Chad did review these, and they were not good, to him.

          Size compared to Mellow.

My impressions of the reformulated Camel SNUS:

The new Frost variety was at the local gas station so my curiosity tempted me to purchase a can. Unfortunately, the new Mellow and Robust were not in stock, so I had to stick with the Frost flavor. The new can has the government mandated warnings on the front and back, but they don't take away too much from the presentation. Another interesting thing about the can is the small print on the side, which reads "0% U.S. Tobacco 100% Foreign Tobacco". If this is actually true, I wonder which company is manufacturing the snus for R.J. Reynolds. Upon opening the can, odors of mint and a somewhat artificial chemical seep through the air. The smell is still an improvement over the previous Frost variety. The portions are the same size and length as the previous formulation; they are long, tubular, and thin. One of the most profound changes to the new formulation is the moisture content. I would compare the water content to Swedish Match's 0102 Lab Series. Last, and most importantly, is the improved flavor. The mint has a more natural flavor and the sweetness has been toned down quite a bit. While there is still a light hint of artificial sweetener, it's much less than the previous Camel Frost. All in all, the new Camel Snus IS NOT THAT BAD. Yep. That's right. It has been improved upon, and I'm excited to try the Mellow and Robust flavors to see if R.J. Reynolds can make a decent snus in a non-mint flavor.

^ I'm doing a test and using nothing but the new Camel SNUS all day long. The higher moisture content seems to delivery the nicotine better than the previous, drier formula. I would guess it delivers the same amount of nicotine as a 1g white portion. I'm excited to try the Robust flavor, since it contains more tobacco than the Mellow and Frost flavors.
