    Nicotine down to minis

I've been coming down gradually from the full fat Thunder Frosted - first down to the 12mg and now I'm on the minis.

Just thought I'd post to tell you how easy it is and if you're thinking of doing it - do it. It was so easy I didn't even notice. It's really handy that V2 do this range as all I'll stick in my mouth these days is Thunder Frosted as it's such a great product.

What would be really really great V2 if you're reading this is a 4 mg Frosted for people with a view to coming off altogether - I know a business wants to keep their customers but if snus is seen to wean people from nicotine altogether it could be seen as an alternative and viable nicotine replacement therapy and therefore good business.

I've just bought another 20 cans of minis for 65 euros including taxes and delivery from snusexpress/buysnus which is dead cheap.

I've been doing mostly nasal snuff most of the time with an occasional snus. Granted, my snuff have been rather strong (Scotches).

    No problem here.

I'd definately recommend the sterks for giving up smoking but these days I'd recommend coming down in nicotine about a year after.

If you want 4 milligrams of Thunder Frosted flavor, you could try the Snus Hog trick of twisting the portions in half. It should work with the minis; might even be interesting to try with the long+ portions for an intermediate 6mg portion.

I saved his post for reference. The links don't work anymore; I'd fix it, but I'm off for an Independence Day party. Happy 4th!

Fantastic - I use mini's most of the time. I still have some 8 mg. portions for mornings and events where lots of smokers will be.

That's great, Frosted! I've managed to bring my usage down a notch, but barely. Seems I'm self-medicating some serious anxiety issues with nicotine. I might be stuck with my current high dosage. But that's fine with me, just glad I'm off the smokes.

65 euros = $81.56 USD and that's considered cheap in the UK..... (just a little perspective for people in the USA post-PACT)

To be honest it doesn't matter a hoot what level of nicotine you're taking so long as you're off the smokes - big congratulations there.
I've been off the smokes for two and a half years now and I just thought I'd try and bring it down and see what happened. To my surprise I didn't even notice. Two years ago I would have noticed because I used to associate any nicotine withdrawal with cigarettes - and now I don't, so that's why it's been easy.

From my understanding when you first switch to snus from smokes you tend to overcompensate on the nicotine. One theory is that you're trying to make up for the big spike in nicotine you get from cigarettes as opposed to the slow gradual uptake of snus. After you adjust to the different type of nicotine uptake you are able to cut back down with no real problems. Many people have done it and it works... though I won't speak for everyone. I'm only doing 5-6 grams of standard strength snus a day but often feel like I'm getting more then enough. I could likely cut down some if I really put my mind to it. Problem is I just really love snus.... and nicotine.... so why chance it.

I have already noticed that I can go a good amount of time without a snus with little to no negative side effects. I use sterks/starks mostly only using ES once or twice a day(not that I NEED to anymore but I like how it feels.). I thought about giving up snus and maybe I will eventually but for the first time in my nic history I can actually feel the nicotine without just feeling the absence of it.
