    1) I have already been here and done this. I love Onyx but it was a bit pricey so I started buying N&J Black, while still ordering Onyx with less frequency. example: I bought 3 rolls of N&J Black for every one roll I bought of Onyx.

    2) Substitute FOR SURE! I quit smoking...... I was very very AFRAID to quit smoking and snus made the transition as easy as c.nash's mom. JKJKJKJKJKJK (c.nash, I picked you because I figure you can take a joke and I have given you shit in chat before. ALSO, I was stuck at as easy as and it was too easy to make into a mom joke. )

I have to agree with danielan about the SnusX. I've already succeeded in re-creating the flavor of one discontinued brand. I'm sure I could do the same with others if I need to.

I like many different brands, so if one becomes unavailable, or much too expensive, I won't feel too badly about giving it up. On the other hand, I'll pay a higher price, within reason, for a brand I really enjoy. So I guess I'm somewhere in the middle as far as brand loyalty goes.

        Scenario 1)
If Brand X will cost you $3 USD per can including shipping and taxes and Brand Y (which also happens to be your fav brand) will cost $4 USD. For arguments sake, let's say that both Brand X and Brand Y are the same flavor, format and strength and that your favorite brand (Y) tastes a tad better in your opinion.

Would you bite the bullet and pay a little more or would you switch?

You always bite the bullet on this one. The better product is always worth the extra few bucks.

        Scenario 2)
Your fav brand won't be available at all post-Pact. What are your thoughts. Quit snus all together or try and find a substitue (I guess most of you know what brands will be available in the US)?
I would try and find another snus that will be readily available.

You know what I would pay extra for? Having northerner put my in stock items i purchased in a box and on the truck in less than a week or two. I hate having to pay for express shipping just to offset the fact that northerner will let it sit in the warehouse for a week or two before shipping it.

Would pay premium (to a point) for my prefered snus. 95% of my snus usage consist of gotland's gul los and ice-fruit, if either of those became unavailable it's gonna be tough for me. I know of nothing that even comes remotely close to icefruit and if i had to replace gul with something my first choice would be landstroms with LD being a close second. To my understanding neither of those will be availble post p.a.c.t so i'am pretty much screwed if something happens to gotlands.

I'd try to find some other snus to get by with but if i could'nt find something i'd could use on a regualr basis, i may consider returning to dip. Hope that things never get to that point.

Landströms is in. That's the one modestly bright point I've seen in the last few weeks :^)

I haven't even tried all of the varieties in my freezer so I wouldn't say I'm brand loyal (yet), but I can easily speak to the price. If I enjoy it and it continues to cost less than smoking did, price isn't really a concern so I would pay a little more for something I really like.

I'd pay more to have my fav. A tad more, that is.

As long as Skruf is available I'm OK. If not I will cry.

I've tried various brands but not all of what I have here yet.
I've sampled Gotland Green, Rape, Offroad Licorice, General
line, Grov Black, Thunder Frosted, Oden's ES L.
So far I like the Skruf lineup. I have found I like the Skruf
Original Portion as my Fav all around snus. The Tranbar is
starting to grow on me. And of course the Skruf Stark
                      and Xtra Stark are great.

I won't quit snus altogether even if it's dogshit.
                      It still beats inhaling tobacco.

No cigs in 59 days. Almost 60!

                      I saw 60 Minutes
                      I did some Googling
                      I joined this forum
                      I ordered some snus
I intended first to cut down cigs over time
                      I started the snus
3 days later I had my last cig

No cigs in 59 days. Almost 60!
                      Call it 2 months

Now I have a new freezer and 200 cans of snus.

Scenario 2) I use General Wintergreen 99.9% of the time

now, I have cheated- I do like the Jaks wintergreen, but I don't normally use Sterks and I bought 80 cans of Jaks wintergreen (I didn't even get it at the double up price) when it's gone I'm done with Jaks forever as I should not be doing Sterks at all.

I would quit for sure without my GWG

That about sums it up for me.

I'd pay more. I can live on Grov & N&J alone and be perfectly content. I like having a variety and will continue to do so to keep it fresh but if General was all of the sudden available @ $2.00/can I still would continue to buy Grov. I love Grov.

If Grov were no longer available? Well I would probably switch to Ettan then. Not sure there's another one that i could love enough to continue on.

2 years from now when my PACT stash has been depleted I'll consider what's available at that time.

In as much as snus manufacturers don't seem to be to awfully concerned with "customer loyalty", I will always follow what I like with respect to flavor and price rather than "brand".
