One thing I'd like to remind everyone of, is the moderators here are also members. We have a duality of presence, and the 2 roles should be separated. Until my services are needed, I'm a member just like everyone else here.

Having said that. lxskllr said something really right, I am a member here too. I have been for a very long time. And I don't think I have to say what I have contributed to this forum over those years, or how many people I have personally helped. If you know me at all, you know that.

Having given so much of myself here, it just so angers me to see so much hostility being posted lately. Yes PACT act sucks. I am sorry. But you have to get over it. The constant angry posts lately are destroying what Snuson is for me. And that hurts me very much.

So my anger in my post earlier. As a member, I had every right to say what I did. The OP was just my last straw.

FWIW, I just bypass the PACT threads anymore. You yourself, sage, a while back urged everyone just to drop it, that it does no good. I find that you were right.

I don't participate in the politics threads, either. Before I came to SnusOn, I mostly just read political blogs. I got an overdose of that.

Not that I'm not still (at least somewhat) political, but I don't bring it here. Here, I just want to talk about snus. Well, and snuff and other tobacco. For the most part. Occasional talk about, say, sex is OK by me.

This is not all hard-and-fast, just what I find that I do as a general rule. And, I'm not saying anyone else should do it. It's just what works for me.

For me, SnusOn is a peaceful and cool place. Mostly

In all honesty, my anger was not triggered by the content of the post, rather the tittle. I agree, I am trying to avoid the PACT threads, the political threads. Heck, I rarely even venture into the people section now for that very reason.

But I was assaulted by a thread that screamed "I have been screwed" in a section that is just to be about snus. I was assaulted by that thread tittle first thing in the morning, and then come to find out someone's snus just took longer than it "usually takes"

I would love to avoid threads that upset me. But I couldn't avoid this, thus my anger.

But again, as moderator, I will not express my anger that way in the future.

PACT is not yet law. It has not been signed by Obama, and when/if it is, PACT does not take effect until 90 days after the date of signing.

Meanwhile the "government" will not be "stealing" your snus orders.

Since this thread got derailed a bit like usually happens especially when I make a post... :lol: I would like to apologize for my harsh talk against liberals and democrats. I am an admitted Registered Republican although they have and are pissing me off lately to. I hold no personal grudges to those members who consider themselves liberals. I just can't stand BIG Government, Entitlement programs funded by excessive taxing, stripping the viable fetus of the "right to life" as a human being, and I like my guns and tobacco and have always had the feeling the Republican party stands a "little" more for what I am for personally.

With that said, the PACT act pisses me off, I won't deny it. Does bitching about it on a public tobacco forum do any good? Hell no, except relief me of some pent up stress and give me a place to vent which I'm sure just as many get pissed off, just as many agree with my position and feel it is a proper place to discuss such a potentially costly law about to be inked and enforced which will more than likely make our snus much more expensive to obtain at the very least and may even make us (Americans) find ourselves limited to many less brands and variety.

My big piss currently is with my home state of PA and the other thread I posted after discovering the latest shenanigans going on with a group of our state Democrats formulating a law to tax smokeless tobaccos which will impact me personally ONCE AGAIN in this damn tax happy climate we are currently in with no political balance to hold down Obama and his far-left agenda.
