Two utterly completely distinct markets. The Swedes are so stuck in their ways. Here in America, I can almost gurantee you that Oynx is not a "girly" snus. It has one of the strongest flavors of any snus around.
A swedish snuser told a friend of mine that girls use general onyx and men use general extra sterk.
I happen to like onyx is there any truth in this rumour?

Not a professional opinion, for sure, but it sort of appeals to the highly visible and infamous 'feminine' side of Swedish men, and I am not Swedish. A huge black tin with a silver top, and an flower arrangement inside is like going to see Metallica in a cool dark club and getting the Pet Shop Boys instead.
Outside of Sweden it is kind of like saying 'is this a girly slingshot?' or 'does that monster truck look gay?' Hopefully it will change but few woman outside of Sweden (brave trend setting female snuson members aside) would consider putting oral tobacco in their mouth anyways.
And how to hide your spit can. Really, I post on smpost sometimes, but being 42 years old, the age difference is what prevents me from fitting in there.
I think the Onyx can design and layout is more aimed for suit and tie guys, the fancy tie tack crowd. I have mutton chops, tattooed forearm, scars on my face and Onyx is one of my favorite Snus. Whatever you like you likeā¦. Growing up in the sticks a lot of guys would talk about how real men only chewed straight dip or whole leaf.
Onyx by Swedish Match is a brand of snus famous for its robust flavors and black portions.
General Onyx Titan Portion follows the same winning concept with its dark tobacco character and flavor that incorporates interesting flavor tones of smoke and flora. A nuanced tobacco flavor that is accompanied by a strong and stimulating nicotine kick (11 mg/portion). ...
