ID:	643071 Picked this up by accident in a tobacco shop in central Warsaw. Most of what I’d read about it was pretty negative, but curiosity got the better of me. Price was okay — 17 zloty (around 4 € / 4,7 $).

Looks a bit like loose snus, but drier and more gritty. Smells like ammonia and damp soil. Tried making a prilla with a prismaster — fell apart instantly, like wet sand. Ended up putting about 1 g on Rizla paper, wrapping and gluing it, and using it like a portion.

Flavor is weak but interesting — earthy, tobacco - forward. Expected the burning everyone mentions, but didn’t get any. Definitely not stale either; the smell was strong right after opening the can.

The kick is very noticeable. Feels on par with, or even stronger than, Siberia — even though on paper it’s about 4* less nicotine (11 mg/g). High pH does its thing.

This stuff seriously messes with my brain. With each portion, that flat, unremarkable taste starts to grow on you. Yeah, totally subjective — the skewed perception of an old poly-drug addict

Addictive potential? Through the roof. Absolutely madness that snus is banned, but this stuff is sold legally.

Damn I love Ettan, best snus ever.
Gotta agree. Ettan is pretty good. I think the los is better than the pouches, but to me, any los is better than pouches. They're just so easy to use.
Got Granit going right now, and I just put in an order for another 10 cans. Hope to get them before summer, but who knows. I also ordered some Vargarda Rustik. Never tried it, but from what I read it sounds a little like General Harvest (which they don't make anymore). Anybody tried it?

    Vargarda Rustik

I really like this. No smoke flavouring. No bergamot. Just tobacco goodness.

Good question. I didn’t really know where to start, so I picked Kapten Salmiak Vit Stark.
Well, I’ve just found out that I like it — licorice, yum 😋
    And it’s strong, the bastard.
16.5 mg on paper, but it honestly feels like at least 30 💪

    Vargarda Rustik.

Opened my first can this evening. The last Vargarda one I had tasted a bit like oregano so I didn’t enjoy it. This is straight tobacco flavoured. So far so good.

I looked up Edel snus - they look like nicotine pouches which work a bit differently to tobacco snus. Personally I don’t get along with nicotine pouches very well. I hope they work for you though!

Welcome to the forum! It depends on your former smoking habit, and on your newly developing snus habit.

15mg of nicotine are the equivalent of 15 hastiily smoked cigarettes, but it takes some time to absorb the nicotine.

For a former chainsmoker like me, that's enough of nicotine for 2 or more hours of snusing in one portion. Much more convenient than to light up one cigarette after the other, also much cheaper.

Many people like to use a snus portion only for 15 minutes though until they spit it out. In that case, one 15mg portion equals only about one or two cigarettes in terms of nicotine.

Everyone is different. Heavy snusers are using one can (or more than 20 portions) per day, while, as strange at it sounds, former chainsmokers may well be happy with one 3rd of a can or 6-8 portions per day.

It's totally personal. 20 years ago I went from chainsmoking more than 60 cigarettes per day to snusing about 6-8 portions on average. Just do what works best for you!

    Cheers, and good luck!

La Morenita. This could be the best Los I've ever had. Taste of decent rum, easy to build, and downright tasty overall. I've moved to portions for convenience, but I got a couple cans of this, just for the can design, which is Realllly cool. Getting a few more cans for special occasions. You gotta try this one. <sigh> I miss Los, but portions are just so much easier.

I was just wandering around these internets, and nobody stopped me from walking right in lol.

EDIT: I have Kronan los in my mouth. forgot that part.

I also made some ho-made snus that is maturing in the fridge...so I am sure I will air it out and taste it mid August.
