what about the lower lip?

Now, i've been using snus for some time now, and i know that it is taditionally tucked under the upper lip. Call me clumsy, but i've never managed to put los snus under my upper lip (i don't have a tool), so i usually keep los snus under my lower lip and pounches under my upper lip. Would i be insulting some Scandinavian tradition by doing so?

I've found that putting it next to the lower gum the flavor was lighter and longer lasting. But on the upper gums, WOW... that was strong!

That said, I think snus is nicer in the upper lip. If you pack/bake your snus properly into a little pellet it can stay nicely up there without too much problem. The trick is to pack it well and not play with it (mush it or lick it and it will fall apart and make a mess).

lower lip is better!

when i put it in my lower lip i find its a lot stronger,burns more and i feel buzzed! even with milder snus like kronan.
thats just my opinion

It's probably because, after regular use, your upper lip loses sensitivity to the burn and isn't as efficient in absorbing nicotine (it gets sort of dried out and tougher). Your lower lip is always going to be fresh since it's never been in contact with snus so it will be much more sensitive. I like to switch between my left and right upper lip now and again - let one side have a break for a bit then switch.

i thought about wat u said and i conducted a little xperiment i brushed my upper lip and gums a little while brushing my teeth and then i tried some snus,it felt like i was snusing for the first time! nice burn!

I put my loose snus in my lower lip sometimes.

It gets everywhere though. I don't do it in public. hahaha
