let me reiterate: we are still refocusing the snus threads, rants and veering comments will be moved to the chat box, off topic threads to People and the world.....respect for all is required.....and we still want a site where new members can find the info they need and industry can participate........

and last but not least....... anyone ......I repeat ANYONE.......who does not vote "dog" as best looking mod........ will be forced to hang out on a BeeGees site for a week.....

Guys,

I mentioned several times that ownership was not firm on its decision to sell ads. After listening to the discussion and talking with Admin and the mods ownership has decided NOT to sell ads and keep the site purely non-profit. Even though the money generated from the sales would have been negligible, Ownership feels to sell ads in any manner is a departure from the original vision and feel of the site.

What this means to us

The New Terms of Use (ToU) will still remain in place though they will be edited to reflect the following changes:

1) Because no ads will be sold, there is not as great a need to be as vigilant or partition certain aspects of the site from view. Therefore,

2) No threads will be closed or removed (pot included). However, keep in mind, the same requirement to keep those discussion in their designated threads remains.

3) The Chatbox will no longer be a member's only area requiring a certain post count to view. It will remain much as it was last week. However, we are not sure as of now where it will be located (back in its old place or where it is now-- but that is just a cosmetic decision and will not affect the chatbox itself)

4) Even though we are not selling ads, we do still want industry participation and we do still want Snuson to be a place where people feel welcome to come and ask questions and learn. Therefore,

(a) we are still asking our members to keep the Snus forum on topic and content specific, while using the people and the world forum for your other discussions,

(b) As always show respect and courtesy to other.

(c) Rants and post that veer too far afield from the OP or which may not be as suitable to the more public forums will still be asked to relocate to the chatbox (the chatbox still provides a nice pressure valve for the site helping us maintain both free speech and a productive site)

Bottom line: no ads, all the treads stay, the chatbox stays, the snus forum will be focused on content, more adult conversations, rants, or veering comments will be sent to the chat box and regardless of where you are on the site respect for the moderators, administrators, and other members is required.

And thus it seems we have spent the better part of this week going around the block to get next door…………but such is life at Snuson……..I would have it no other way
