I don't hold it against you, Ettan lovers. To each his own. Just sour for my palate. Now, Nick and Johnny on the other hand is my choice for straight tobacco taste. I can't get enough of it, it's amazing. Haven't tried grov yet, but i do like the stark so I think it's N&J for me.

I always found N&J pretty well flavored. Has tobacco in there, but definately not anywhere near as straight a tobacco as Ettan or Grov. And even Ettan and Grov are pretty well flavored in comparison to Prima Fint.

Nonetheless... I'll stick to my favorites (of which Ettan is not)

Personally I am an quite fond of Ettan and I always have a few cans on hand as it is just a good solid, tobacco flavoured snus.....

I currently have a can of the white portions open to compare it to the regular portions and the white portions remind me a lot of the Peter Stuyvesant snus....a bit "lighter" in its tobacco taste than the original portions, but still very good.

IMHO its relatively uncomplicated flavour profile tends to mask a lot of its actual qualities and I've only recently started to enjoy it for what it is.

I would add that unlike other forum members I rarely drink coffee with it as I find the flavour of coffee overpowers it somewhat.

I also wouldn't compare it to Grov or Knox which are both in my top 5. I finnd the taste of those to be more "immediate" and they really fulfill very different places in my snus fridge as does Gotlands Yellow, Jakobsson's, Skruf Original etc.

Can't say I hate it. I keep my can of Ettan White in the car now; it's a very satisfying, "unoffensive" snus that I find I can use whenever. Some of my other favorites (Lucky Strikes, General Onyx) can seem a little bit overpowering at times, and can still upset my new to snus stomach, but Ettan White's become as enjoyable and accessible to me as just having a cig.

I find Ettan los to be to subtle, never really noticed a sour taste. For unflavored I either go Prima Fint or Granit. Granit Los is a great snus.

Oh man, I love Ettan. It does taste like a boot! I told my gf it's like a "smoked leather boot". I dunno. It's quite pleasing. It's pretty mild and not quite as acidic as other snus. Easy on my throat/stomach.

I haven't had N&J to compare it to, though.
