When will we know the outcome?

When is the vote on this?

Rich EU countries have teamed up and sucked in the poorer countries, now all over the EU Banks popped up everywhere where they lend money to people just to make them poorer and poorer - In Romania ou end up paying for a 60K apartment twice the peice (120K) and thats just an example of why the EU has been formed the iluminati are al

In Romania in 1960 - 1989 until the revolution (EVERYONE) afforded to buy a large apartment by paying 10% of their monthly salary

now the salary is not enough to buy groceries (YEP THAT's the reality)

that's the story - the EU has been formed to **** everyone up and make them poorer

only a few 5% are rich and that's because they're all influential people and have the power to do anything in their hands

including manipulating laws and so on

In romania the population is 22 million and over 6 million work abroad - imagine the poverty we're all facing ...

the communist party under Ceausescu was seen as a bad thing (yet people were living normal lives)

now most of the people fight for their existence and most of the young people barely afford to have pocket money let alone making their life (buy apartments, cars, raise children and so on)

what is this world coming to? On a large scale in many countries it's happening the same thing -

the laws are made for the rich, the poor even die because they don't afford to cover medical expenses and so on .............. no one is protected in any way by the government.

Living out of $200 - $500 in the EU is pure poverty and no one seemingly doesn't do anything about it -

Last time the people revolted in the center of Bucharest - they were beaten like animals and some of them were even killed by the the police -

I might be a bit rough on this but this is the reality - and it's happening in many of the EU countries and even the better placed ones such as Greece, SPain and Italy.... and many others.......

If you're thinking to open up a business you need to pay upfront 10 - 20K to cover your ass (protection)

for example if you're a lawyer and want to start your own bureau of lawyers you have to pay $500,000 in advance (protection money)

if you want to be a doctor the same thing happens (probably up to $50,000 if not more)

there are people living in the EU with a retirement salary of under $100 (whereas their medication is double that money)

and here's an example of the people that SEEMINGLY are doing very well in Romania by prostitution............................ (Blah Blah Blah edited)

I've always thought it was a bad idea for Sweden to enter EU. This is no exception. I can't even describe the anger I'm feeling... It's not just about the snus, but that a bunch of fat ****ers in Brussels (?) decide stuff they don't know shit about and don't have right to mess with. Bunch of retards all of them...

If snus is banned I will start making my own, or go back to smoking - and I really don't want that.

The positive thing is though I know Sweden won't allow this. The amount of taxes collected from snus each year is so big that "banning snus" would cause a terrible economic loss for our country.

          **** politicians.

Is this for real, or is it one of those stupid ideas politicians like to float, but have as great a chance of passing as a politician getting integrity?

My guess is that they have little to do there.

My guess is, it's for real. I remember something about the banning of flavouring additives in tobacco products being on TV a few weeks ago, while they were talking about plain packaging, it's only a matter of time i'm sure.

What I see as an ideal outcome, is they pass the law, and Sweden drops out of the EU. Riots and unrest will start small wars, and that'll encourage other nations to exercise their sovereignty and drop out also. Then everyone will hate each other the way they're supposed to, and we'll live happily ever after, with no government strong enough to fully suppress the population.

That was funny, but it's ok for you lot, you have guns, we have air rifles, sticks n stones, and catapults! If they do get it passed, i bet you're right about Sweden dropping out of the EU. One thing i did think about ... Pioneer snuff is in south east asia, get odens to start ops in Russia and we're sorted

Really? tobacco imports from south east asia or russia will be most certainly banned by then and of course there will be no way to ship tobacco products by mail. Sorry, I am a well informed optimist (read "pessimist")

                            ................
I am from Romania too... from romania of the north. Latvia here, same shit (with the exception of protection money perhaps, have not heard of that since mid 90s). I have no words to describe how I hate this country.
Would we be both better off outside of the EU? I doubt that. It is thanks to EU open borders policy and common market that we have a chance to find employment abroad (latvia had 2,3 million people before joining the EU 2004, 300 000 have left by now). Finding employment abroad is a matter of survival for many families as there is no social security, no free healthcare, nothing...
I must admit I quite like the EU as an idea or vision but it is not governed and managed properly.
I would not even list all the other advantages of living in the EU (common currency - yes, it is good, free movement of goods with no customs in the middle - if you ever did imports and have experience with customs you know what I mean, et cetera et cetera et cetera. It is that some eurocrats have lost every touch with reality.

Without the EU countries like Romania or Latvia would be small prisons with people dying of hunger with no chance to escape

No, sorry. I can't see that happening, if things got that bad they'd ban the import of havana cigars from cuba, rich and powerful people smoke cigars, and pipes. That's why we will never have an all out ban on tobacco, well, that and the tax money they get from tobacco products

That would be a plan, but i'm sure the major tobacco companies would slip the right people some cash to stop that dead. My guess would be if it does go tits-up Swedish Match will set-up outside the EU, or Sweden will leave the EU.

The people in Romania were happier and RICHER during the communist party - everyone afforded to live a normal life compared to now where the money you earn in one month you spend it on groceries the next day. ($300 - $500 a month) I disagree with you on this part sorry. Our salvation (people from poor EU countries) is to work abroad in UK, US, Australia and Canada........ or in Scandinavia .... Norway and Sweden.
