Thinking about switching to OP's or more OP's for a while.

I liked OP more than WP since day one, I think I only bought whites 2 times, not including the first time I tried snus, which was a white portion.
That may be why I didn't like Lucky Strike wp, I may have not been used to it.

I always flatten the whites and soak them in saliva that takes care of most problems.

I don't get the gum irritation much... But I do lean more towards white portions, if nothing more than I'm at work most of my day, and snussing for damn near all of it. OPs tend to just make a mess of my teeth, and being so close to clients all day, the white are a bit more inconspicuous. I also tend to switch sides with every portion as well, so maybe that helps curtail irritation.

And my two cents on the SM star pattern: I was JUST bitching about this the other day to my only snussing friend. As nice as it looks in the can, I don't like the wedge. When I crack a new can of my regulars from Swedish Match (namely N&J SW and Roda Lackett) and have the time, I dump them out and fluff them up nice and pillowy. Aside from comfort, I think they juice up and sit better with that little bit of prodding.

I went ahead and picked up a roll of General Portion just because I know I like the General taste.
I got some Grov and Ettan portion too just to be safe. I think I'll mix these in with my usual white portions and see if that helps.

I've been using white portions today for the first time in months (Grov), and I have to say, I'm really enjoying them. Even the star formation shape isn't bothering me - I've just been throwing them in without reshaping, and they're comfortable from start to finish. And the flavour definitely lasts longer than OPs, which means I'm using less than I have been.

I'm starting to think my aversion to whites was more of an aversion General White. I'll see how it goes.

Does Grov come in a star formation now too?

Yep. I've never had Grov WP before, so didn't know what to expect when I opened the can.

Yea, I believe all SM white portions come in star formation now.

I wish I could have taken a picture of the star formation machine in the factory - it was so cool to see how it was getting made.
