can't decide! White or Original

This is kind of bothering me beause I want to make my first order online. I went to the store and picked up General original and General white..
To be honest I kind of like the whites better .. but I feel like the ORIGINAL portions will eventually be what I really like .. and like original portions is "real" snus for hardcore snusers.
But at the end of the day I prefer the white taste/flavor, and prefer the way it feels in my lip ..
I feel like the whites are more for ladies .. but with the original it is a bit too much and gives me some mild heartburn. I can't decide and need some feedback if whites are really a waste of time?

With General, I like the white portions better because their original is too wet and drips so much that I wind up tossing it out before the flavor is gone in order to keep my teeth white. With other brands, like Ettan, I like the original portions better.

Why choose? I'd suggest getting some of each (maybe a roll of one and just a few cans of the other if you're not wanting to buy 2 whole rolls right now), and alternate for variety.

General is my go-to snus, and when I first started using it I used mostly white portions. But a while back I switched to using mostly original portions, but I still always buy a couple cans of white when I stock up and use them occasionally. (I also use the loose, but I go through a lot more portions than loose.) Lately, I find myself gravitating toward using whites more than I had been--I think it's just a phase, craving a change of pace, and that I'll probably gravitate back to using less white and more original. But I think I will always want to have some of both on hand.

FWIW, I find the whites slightly harder on the gums.

Buy what you like. Don't worry about what you're /supposed/ to like. It's you that's gonna be using it ;^)

I wouldn't go nuts buying either until you're sure. Your tastes could end up changing. If given a choice, I always prefer lös... I mean original portions, but there's others that like whites better.

Get both. Personally I like loose the best. 2nd would be regular portions (the juicier the better) and whites take 3rd for me. Keep trying different things because your tastes will keep changing a lot for a long time.

I have a place in my rotation for the white and op. Op is my fav because its juicy and good. White is also rather delicious.

Like everyone said.. A little bit of everything is your best bet.. And at least get one or two cans of loose. I suggest ettan and general. I was scared to try Los and it took my third order to take the plunge and I love it.

I mostly use whites and lately it's been the Grov and Goteborg's variety. When it comes to General I think the los has the best flavor. I like the experience I have with white portions though I also agree that they are hard on the gums when you first put them in. The OPs are softer but yeah, General seems to juice up rather quickly. You can lower the humidity of them OPs. I usually do that for a little bit by leaving the lid of for a little while. then mix them up and put them back in the fridge.

I think the three versions of Ettan all taste different too. Grov as well. I think I use the different portions sometimes for reasons other than flavor. I mean if I know I'm going to be doing something for a while where I won't be able to take a drink of water or something I would choose a white. If there's not many people around ('cos I'm kinda messy) I like los...Etc. Variety is the spice of snus, my friend.

Like has been said try a little of everything.

I'm a Lös guy but I use both original and white portions. If it is made in both I usually choose the original portion, but some great snus is only made in white portions.

General White used to be my snus of choice - less drippy than Gen OP. But I recently tried General Long, and am now sold on that. I've got a General White in at the moment, and it seems really salty compared to General Long.

If I were you making my first order, I'd get a selection of the main General Original, White, and Long.

General Long is my favourite General snus at the moment. I'm also part way through a can of 01 which I'm really enjoying, it's a more subtle flavour than General, which I initially didn't like, but it's grown on me.

For me personally, the long portions are the way to go - they fit my mouth better, and don't juice up as much as original portions, and as I've just discovered today, they're not as salty as the whites.

I prefer original, but only slightly. Both are good!
