    To echo what piks101 said below, DO NOT DO THIS if you are eating carbs/sugar in the morning. On this diet, you are almost constantly in ketosis - that means your body burns fats first.     Sugar, or carbs which convert into sugar, will wreck this effect. Carbs are OK later in the day, like some white rice, but you want to stay the hell away from sugar.
    I felt awesome on a strict ketosis diet but then it stopped being as effective. Not everyone flourishes on a ketosis diet but I think it is still beneficial to do a 30 day cycle for a cleanse and continue as long as you are benefiting. The MCT oil is converted by your liver into ketone, so I can get the benefits of ketones without avoiding carbs entirely and having to stay in ketosis.

    I doubt he would as most are pushing low fat, whole grains, no cholesterol and quick to prescribe stains for the remainder of a patients life.

    clarified butter also known ghee i think. It's very popular in Indian cuisine . I think it is part of this avoiding carbohydrate's concept . I can't say how replacing carbohydrates with high cholesterol foods is that great though
