I know why he was banned! Simple... we have not had a controversial thread in months. This will give all users an opportunity to bitch, moan and complain... then as always, things will return to normal and we will carry on until the next controversy presents itself.

Ettan makes a white portion? j/k....I've had it once, blech. Now, Ettan regular portion is divine, but I prefer Granite.

I find it odd that none of the mods have come in to offer an explanation, nor are they online, at least not under their normal user name. Oh well. I also heard that SnusOn is putting up a webstore again, and maybe that's the reasoning behind this.....they thought they were going to lose money.

Maybe he got banned because he didn't include Granit los in his sale. Who in the hell uses Ettan White? Aside from that, Chad has done A LOT for this forum. He has been here almost as long as any other active member and was a moderator at one point. Why ban the guy? I can name you many members that have come and gone but Chad has been here the whole time.

I saw this today and was in disbelief... Chad is among the most respectful people I know of - and I'm talking everybody I know. Taking this forum's population as a subgroup, he is definitely in the 99th %ile. Why on earth would anybody ban him???? Yeah, he linked a sale - a friggin great sale. Some folks might not have ever had the opportunity get get top tier snus - Ettan vit! - at $2ish per can. Yes, Chad's website probably saw some boost, but in terms of clicks per ad, we are talking cents here, not dollars. This is the worst decision the admins of this forum have made in the time I've been here.

I hope you don't get any repercussions for raising what is simply what is important housekeeping that the site needs to hear from it's members. Without it's members SnusOn is nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero!

As I said Rick - I'm absolutely not interested in the politics ... but I would say that if the site is to remain truly independent and a real source of impartial information then I don't think it's fitting for anyone who works within the smokeless tobacco industry to be a moderator of the site. Surely that's common sense.

I couldn't care less about the mod status, it's nice not getting caught up in all the drama. That's not my beef here, my beef is that they dumped Chad for what I'll bet is something silly and let soooooo many other douches get away with murder.

However ... I absolutely think that maintaining good relationships with all people working in the industry and encouraging people like yourself, Jimmy and GN to be active members of the site is key to the site being absolute gold-dust to the snus user.

I think that this site, along with every other credible information site, should be entirely impartial. Unless it is able to both survive financially AND stand up to the power of money talking from the companies which want to unduly influence the reader/forum member - it will fail to be giving impartial information.

I don't know any of the circumstances leading to Chad's banning and I don't understand it at all ... but in SnusOn's defence I would say that of all the websites dedicated to snus and other smokeless tobacco, once you read through all the guff, it is STILL the least influenced by company lobbying that I have ever seen ... and while it remains so I will remain loyal to SnusOn.

I'd agree that SnusOn is the least influenced by outside companies, because I used to work for the very company that everyone thought was paying for SnusOn, we never did, lol. Northerner only ever helped SnusOn set up it's "store" and fulfill the orders for them...that's all. What I think is sad is that this site has allowed itself to slip into complacency and not working to develop member growth. Which is probably what cost me my mod status, lol. hey..if they don't care....neither do I.

These hillbillies continually fight on facebook about politics and they tag EVERYONE on their friends list, and I just got fed up with it. Of course you and several other of my REAL friends decided to act a fool on my rant. The funny part is that the few that commented are my only true friends on FB...I could delete the rest and still be happy with it.

what I'm amazed at, is that Chad probably got banned for "promoting his site or sale", which actually helped SNUS USERS save some money. helping snusers is what it's all about, right? I honestly think ALL the shops should be able to promote their sites, sales, etc. Each should have it's own part of the forum to discuss these things.

It's laughable really, Chad get's banned...when I've seen all manner of shit overlooked through the years and the offending person never got banned. The double standard behind the scenes here is unbelievable.
