Please can we get this forum back on track?

Pris - nice to hear from you.

Despite many many more posts than me in total - we hear very little from you these days.

My dear friend Frosted, here, feels hard done by - and in my opinion quite rightly. He was banned for an (albeit rude) off-the-cuff remark a while back. Yet we find ourselves in the situation that a couple of rather smart trolls have infiltrated to such an extent that bickering between the ranks have broken out. Which in my humble opinion is far more damaging to the forum than any one-off remark.

Those of us who think there should be some kind of policing (I do not speak for the libertarian anarchists of which there seem to be many!) - feel that the mods are not as on the ball as they used to be. Consistency is probably all we seek.

I too was give a "vacation" after years of being a good member because I apparently pissed off some one with the power to do so. Water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned. But when some new tools throw themselves into the spokes and mess with everyone who doesn't have the power nothing is done because they haven't offended certain people as of yet it seems a bit weird for lack of a better word......

If you click on a username and view profile, there is an option to "add to ignore list" so if somebody bothers you why not just do that and you wont see them on the forum again.

because while that will work for members who know to do this, the new members or prospective member doesn't know to do this. Let's say, you've chosen to "ignore" someone on the board, so they go on being a jerk for however long, but you however don't see any of it... BUT the new member or prospective member can and will still see it.

Oh and let's not forget sgreger1 getting his "vacation". None of us deserved ours and were good members with longstanding time put in. I don't think we should ban the f#cknuts either but the moderators really need to get together when it comes down to banning people so it can not be used vindictively against long standing members who don't agree with one of them or stand up for another member who is being bullied...........

Absolutely! Absolute beginners with snus will find this place by accident and we all want to give them the confidence to believe the great advice likely to come from any one of our regular members. We really don't want them to see us bicker amongst ourselves because of the actions of a couple of troublemakers!

While I was happy to see Sgreger1 back - his vacation was entirely self-imposed as far as I know. I don't consider it bullying for other members to put their view that someone has "overstepped the mark" with regards to personal insults. But that being said I was very happy that he came back - because he has a lot to offer us.

That is definitely not the case with the current new influx of trolls.

I've been ignoring them and resisting posting in the threads. Sure it's kinda fun to read the BS...But it ruins the fun happy place that is snuson. Just ignore them, they'll go away and find another forum to annoy...

I DO hate to see the disturbance in the force this has caused..... and To all but these two twits, I offer a very sincere apology. I am a bad man and do bad things, but in my heart I have love for all of you. These two came in our house and pooped on the rug on purpose. That triggers all manner of bad reactions. But while I cannot condone my behaviour, I truly believe that ignoring these two may be impossible, the baiting has been incessant. That is ,and remains a problem for us all.

As one of the newer members to this forum I can honestly say that seeing the change in the past week(s?) I wouldn't join at this time. I had no clue about snus when I joined(wtf is a white portion) but as dumb as my questions might be and as many times the vets around here have heard them I always got a polite answer(with a little sarcasm for fun on occasion) but with the new people we all know we're talking about, just reading posts from people I know are nice and helpful, the ugly shows. Lets get back to the love of snus we all have together and turn a new leaf. At least one of the people we are talking about has a love for snus, lets just move on and understand this isn't the octogon and keep the peace.

Personally, I love the freedom we have on the forum and I don't think anyone should be banned unless it is quite serious. It seems to me like the solution is just to ignore it.

Wow I must have missed a lot. I may not come by as much as i used to, but I love this place. When I see people being destructive, I give em hell right back. Why not? This is a place where people talk to each other based on what the last person has said, or based on what one feels like saying. When left alone by useless trolls, this is an extremely positive community. Sure I've been a dick more than a few times, but if you give me positivity and good humor I will give it right back. If you come in and soil the place with negativity or foolishness, I'll shit on your chest! Haha. Big deal. Such is life.

Crow mentioned to me about the forum being here for a little solidarity. When I get caught up reading disturbing things I get a sick kind of feeling and I'm reminded that world is not right. I don't like being reminded of that because every day I try to make my own little world right and it just a fact disturbing things are growing to drive nice people away and attract more unhappy unbalanced people. If that happens then you pretty much have a flop.
