Even if he doesn't live that long he'd still be a better choice than what we've had lately. Its sad....
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
Not to mention we should raise the voting age for the average citizen. My 18 yr old niece in college voted democrat after being told that Obama's gonna forgive her student loans which will probably be over $250,000.00 by her graduation. The girl has never even had a job like so many at her age nowadays. Now she probably has no clue what H.R. 4170 says or means Nobody will it i'll just be passed in the dark of night. The fact that these are the things that can be bandied about to curry favor with an uneducated electorate again promises which actually makes even educated people welfare recipients. Ugh never mind. Let's all just get free shit and see what happens. F#ck it!

Heres something to consider our state of affairs. I had just eaten taco bell last night and thank god remembered i was out of toilet paper. I went to walmart and the women in front of me in line was buying 2 ipad's. At the same time she was on her phone with someone asking if she could have her food stamp benefits early and if they could increase her food stamp benefits. I pay about 20k a year at college while most non white students there GET PAID about 10k a year to attend.
President Obama won the Popular Vote (in addition to the Electoral College)... At 99% IN, he has 60,569,138 to Romney's 57,746,743. That's a 2,822,395 lead.
So that argument is not comparable.
............. I will say this though: We should think about getting rid of the Electoral College. It's ****ing stupid.
I never said that Obama didn't win the popular vote. He won it by 2%. But last night as the votes were being tallied Trump went on his little tirade thinking that Romney had won the popular vote, just like the pundits did 12 years ago when Gore actually had won the popular vote.
The comparison I was making is that it seems people like Trump only scream "tear down the electoral college" when their candidate doesn't win, just like a lot of democrats did when Gore "lost." If Romney had won, I don't think Trump would be talking about how screwed up our electoral process is.
Jill Stein has some good ideas. It's funny how two medical doctors (Ron Paul and Jill Stein) are the only candidates with the balls to say that drugs should be decriminalized.

They have a point. I definitely think there should be a higher age limit (maybe 25) with STRICT punishment for buying for minors. But the DARE programs will continue at school the outcry over drugs will continue and everything else. Telling me and anyone else that we can now smoke crack isnt going to make us all do it. Noone says "no im not going to smoke crack that shits illegal man" Let's tax the shit out of drugs end the war on drugs and that would save billions and earn millions. People have a firm stance on their opinion of drugs no matter if its legal or not. There are people who despise tobacco users and alcohol users and everything inbetween. Making it legal isnt going to change anything except how far in debt we are.
I actually agree with Uncle Donald on one very important point he makes…………..we are not a democracy………….we are a republic………………Remember the Pledge of Allegiance………..”I pledge allegiance to the Flag and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands”
To miss this one little itsy bitsy detail……………….is to fundamentally misunderstand the government of your country…………..it is going to Starbucks and expecting a Big Mac.
The result of Trumps diatribe against the Electoral Collage………….if followed…………might very well prove disastrous………………..but to understand why…..you will first need…………
……..a little History……….doggy style
The United States Constitution seeks to establish a balance between state and popular led government. For example, the House of Reps is elected by popular voter (thus the name) while Senators were originally appointed by the governor of the state (thus state or representative government…..thus Republic)
How this all fits in.......... is that Donald’s tirade exposes………………..a fundamental and common misconception of the Electoral College. The EC seeks to strike a balance between state and popular led government in the selection of the President (to understand why we needed a special case for the President would be to go into the original conception of the President as the moderator of a union of self-governing states….but such is beyond our scope here).
The intention of the Electoral College is to insure fair representation of smaller states (and thus a fair voice for those in those regions). Folks in major population centers like Atlanta or NY will not face the same challenges as say those living in a small rural county in Wisconsin made up primarily of Dairy farmers. On a straight popular vote, the voice of those farmers (together with the unique concerns they face) would never be heard over the large population centers that face very different concerns. A straight popular vote (as Donald suggests- ironically in the name of Democracy) would in essence disenfranchise a significant portion of the country. The dairy farmer, together with his needs and concerns, would never be heard over the roar of sprawling suburbia.
Thus the solution was sought in a balance between popular and state generated selection. By basing the number of Electoral votes on the number of congressmen allotted to each state, each state’s Electoral votes are a proportionate representation of the state’s population in comparison with the rest of the country (thus no group is given an undue voice at the expense of others).
The irony of the whole thing is that Trump’s diatribe underscores a fundamental misunderstanding of the very political process he was seeking to be a part of just a few months back (kind of scary). It also reflects what I would guess is a fundamental misunderstanding of most of the American members of this forum. My bet is that few of our members actually understood what they were doing on Tuesday when they voted.
In every state except Nebraska and Main (I think those are the two) the total number of the electors for that state go completely to the party that won the popular vote. Here in SC Romney won therefore all our electors will be Republican………..In NH they will all be Democrats.
The point is that even though your ballet said Obama and Romney………………you were actually casting your vote for the Electors who will represent your state when the president is elected.
It is also worth mentioning (just to throw a little constitutional turd in the punch bowl) that these electors are not bound by either the popular vote of their state or the party that sent them……………..so Rush………….there is still hope...................
Now you know

From the economy.................to election practices
All it takes is one step..............one simple step (which actually originated- in a slightly different form- with the founding fathers). Here it is:
Those who don't pay income taxes............don't get to vote
If you don't contribute to the nation's wellbeing................you don't get to tell the rest of us how to spend our money.
No more buying votes with corrupt election practices..........no more buying votes with policies that promise something for nothing.
