I have a tip for you who drink coffee with milk. Heat the milk up in a pot while stirring it (so you don't get that nasty "skin" covering the milk) so it's hotter than the coffee and then pour it in. Tastes so different and so damn good.

I am a proud coffee snob, and use a press pot exclusively. I create blends of coffee from several different varieties I acquire from a small batch roaster.My blends have names like " HEY ASSHOLE!" , "Gran Mal", "Twitch", and " is this and air hockey table or am I just breathing hard?" I like my coffee sweet, and the color of the back of West African wife's hand( little cream).
P.S. SCREW STARBUCKS. The ammonia content of the coffee is disgusting, and it smells like cat piss. I will declare that if you are an avid drinker of Starbucks brewed coffee, you have no taste, or you own a cat and are immune to the scent of feline urine.
I drink about 4 cups in the morning and then 3 in the afternoon. Not very particular over blend but do agree that Starbucks is very green and ammonia tasting.
Caribou Coffee is usually my go to for take out and home brew is Dunkin or any Breakfast Blend.
My research has led me to some facts that oils in unfiltered and darker roast coffee raise LDL cholesterol levels so I stick with paper filtered and medium roast.
It seems I like to Roast my own beans, Costa Rica or Guatemala, Medium roast. But the sad thing is that after 40 years of being a constant coffee drinker, I finally have broken my addiction and maintain on one cup a day. I blame poverty and the insane increase in the price of coffee. I would still kill for a good cup of Yemen. This is one more hobby i have had to give up it seems.
I do enjoy a nice cup of coffee, usually just 1-2 cups a day.
A little milk and sugar, if I have time I use the press at home if not I pick one up around work.
Not too picky about what brand, I can drink most any kind.

What do you roast with? I love shaking Tanzanian Peaberry in a pan on the stovetop -- also Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and some Kona beans work well too. Full City roast for me...nothing sounds better than that first crack.
I own a Jura Ena automatic espresso machine and it makes my perfect pick me up brew in the morning. I love this machine and could not do without it now. I use Arabica and Robusta blends mostly.

I am addicted to the Lavazza Espresso coffee you buy in the black packet... turn it into a cappucino in my £55 De Longhi machine. I like it. Down to 2 cups a day though sometimes 1 extra if out and about.
