Tobacco poultices have been used for centuries to treat skin maladies (stings, rashes, infections). Recreationally, it seems people have figured out that you gotta go for the mucosa if you want to "feel" it.

A tobacco patch sounds like a great idea actually. They say on some threads about people who work with tobacco take precautions so they don't overdose. Thru there hands. That would mean the other alkaloids would get through and that's a great idea. I do know when I chewed Nicorette for 10 years I tried the patch during a 3 day traing for work and no gum chewing was going to be allowed for some weird I forget reason. The patch didn't work as well, maybe because I didn't have something in my mouth to keep it busy. I ended up talking too much I sure know that!
