I hear ya Xobe, I felt like a knob eyeing my self in the mirror with a little teapot-looking thing stuck up my nose as water and discharge runs out the other nostril. I'd just heard so many people with chronic allergy and sinus probs sing the praises of the thing that I had to try it, especially since I didn't go out and pay for the thing!
It's very uncomfortable at first too, like getting water forced up your nose on accident while swimming, but prolonged. I imagine with non-iodized table salt mixed in, it probably borders on painful. I'd tried it, but when I hung out with my buddies and their wives who live together and all of them were sick, I knew I'd get it too. At the first sign of symptoms and congestion I blew through a whole tube of Airborne and started neti-potting and I feel fine now, never got the full blown head cold everyone else got. Who knows? Maybe Roderick's magic Toque snuff is the reason for my speedy recovery.
