Interesting! Sounds like it could be worse then. However, this can was quite expensive, and costed me $10. I think this is the only can I can get in Gothenburg, so it feels bad to return it, but I don't know...

Here are some other (better) pictures of the snuff and the snuff container. I poured it in to an empty snus can:

If you change your mind watching these pictures... should I use it?

After reading what you guys wrote and reading some internet reviews of the stuff, it appears that it should be moist and black. This is brown and extremely dry...

I would. Mine wasn't that dry, but my tin was that corroded. It's definitely old. It took ~2 years for mine to corrode. If you like it, keep it. Just keep in mind it isn't at its best. If you bought from an online shop that has a fast turnover, you'd be getting a better product.

I had some Santo Domingo in a air tight pill holder (metal) in the car. It worked great until I forgot about it and it had white chunks in it.....maybe a month in the Florida sun. I pitched it....maybe a gram or less......but I still have half a pound left.

Heders PM me your address and I will send you a fresh sample of the Santo Domingo.

My tin of Santo Domingo(sp) came with some weird crap like that a couple years ago. I was worried at first but it's fine. I'm pretty sure from the look of mine they put too much glue in the lid before they screw it on the first time. Then the snuff sticks to it and looks weird. However, your snuff looks dried out in the pics. Mine is moist, coarse, heavy, and delicious. I have for sure snuffed some weird glue particles (I think they're most gone now) and I'm still crazy Hope that helps!

            Heders,

I'd take that back! I'm sure Wilsons, the makers of F&T would say the same. They are a great old company and I'm sure they would hate to see a tin like that. A very fresh snuff should at first smell of ammonia which disappears after a couple of hours and then you get all the flavour. Alloy cans do oxidise and as Lxskllr said you do get flakes of lacquer some times, but that just looks awful.

Forgot to say thank you for your answers! I did return it without a problem, and switched it for a large tin of Hedges L260 by chance. Really good stuff, although I can't use menthol all day long since my nose starts running like crazy.

I'm waiting for an order by Mr Snuff as well which I hope arrives this upcoming week: Toque Chocolate, Toque Quit Bullet, Toque Spanish Gem, Wow! Coffee Bite, Dholakhia Black, and FUBAR RnR. It's too bad I forgot to order some F&T as well (really interested in trying HDT, by many), but I'm sure it won't be long until my next order there!

              Thanks again guys!

Heders, Don't forget to empty the bullet into the little bag and put back quarter of the snuff. We pack as much as we can into them and this action allows the snuff to flow freely.

I hope so! I'm very excited. The FUBAR RnR and perhaps Dholhakia Black seems to be the hits-or-miss on the list though. The FUBAR is for a friend, but I will try a pinch of it, and if he doesn't like it while I do, I'll buy it from him.

Thanks for the great tip! I will do that. So I leave the snuff in the bag and refill it when my bullet runs out? I think I'll try mixing some Wow! Coffee Bite and some Toque Chocolate in there as well together with the quit.
