I'm not a very inventive guy and don't experiment with stuff. I know some of you guys have made los flavors and all. My theory is I could just get some vanilla extract put a few drops in a spray bottle with water, shake that shit up and spray some Ettan down. Sounds simple enough right? I have no clue. I love vanilla, I love snus especially los. I just want to do it myself. Any suggestions?
Vanilla los? Could I do it myself?

It will taste like vanilla, but I don't think it's that easy. You'll get an alcohol-like taste to it slightly too from whatever they used to extract the vanilla. I've tried with snusX and a bunch of extracts, though not vanilla per se. At any rate it does take three full days for the flavor to permeate the whole can and it's only one can...it's worth the experiment.

Be sure to use Alcohol-Free Vanilla Flavor ...
The FRONTIER brand can usually be found at health foods stores and major supermarkets.
I doubt you'd have to dilute it by much (if at all) ... try a small batch and let it marinate a few days.

Totally - you can do it! You could try a good quality vanilla extract, powder or leaving a section of bean in the can for a bit depending on what is available. I'd also be tempted to try getting hold of a tiny bottle of Vanilla Oleoresin Essential oil as I've had loads of success with essential oils getting ginger and cinnamon flavours in to snus (you can get 5ml for about $8 in the states I think.) - it's dead strong! You'd only need a drop to flavour a can of Ettan or Prima Fint.
Keep us informed as to what you do - and best of luck!Squeezyjohn
Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!

I concur. Natural flavoring is always better than some extract or oil you can buy. I always get better results using the real stuff. Some things you may need to prepare a bit to get the desired result......but it always is better.Originally posted by GoVeganNothing beats natural flavoring.
Maybe split the bean in half before adding it (lengthwise). Every pastry chef I ever worked with did that before adding the whole bean to anything.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll try try the whole bean method makes more sense. I definitely agree I love natural. GN is my bro no doubt but that dry vanilla deal isn't a favorite.
