Smoked ~15 cigs/day for 16 years, tried snus last November (2011), haven't smoked a cig since December. Still a slave to nicotine, though. Swedish salt licks FTW!

cigarettes haven't tasted good in years for me
same feeling here, they actually tasted awful, especially that with my clogged sinuses most of the times I had "almost" no taste to cigarettes

I've quit them on and off

but definitely snus cuts the cravings (or dip)

both are much much safer too

I smoked for I think about 2 or 3 years
Not daily but maybe a pack a week
What made it harder was every girl I was with this time was a hardcore smoker and I never really got in touch with snus until my band found a new drummer and he was snusing at every rehearsal! So one day when I was gonna jump out the window unto the ceiling and have a smoke after rehearsing he asked me if I wanted a snus instead and I thought to myself why the **** not
This was a GR white portion! I instantly thought to myself ''what the ****, this actually tastes pretty good, cigarettes haven't tasted good in years for me'' and that was when I decided to quit. Next day I bought my first can and threw away my cigarettes. This was about a year ago, been snusing ever since increasing the pace from a can a week to 2 or 3 cans a week.
As opposed to cigs, snus doesn't leave the bitter after taste. I mean both literal and psychological, after smoking I always had the ''damn, that's not good for me'' feeling. Never with snus! Thank god for these little pouches of heaven.

I quit cigs in April 2009 using an e-cig for 3 months, then switched to snus because vaping was too high maintenance. I CAN'T go back to cigs now, even if I wanted to. On those rare times when I do bum a cig, I have a snus immediately after. My brain/habit/addiction now believes cigs are an inferior method of acquiring nicotine. Additionally, I am in the gym every day and could never do what I do with smoke on my lungs.

Yes, been smoke-free for about 7-8 months now.

I actually began snusing back in 07/08, but once PACT hit I was so pissed at the price increase that I just went back to smoking. Between 2008 and 2010, I think there were two instances that I stopped smoking for a good two or three months and then went back to smoking. Finally, last year while repeatedly making runs outside to smoke from my warm office, I decided that it was enough. Made an order and haven't looked back since. Cigarettes are so much more freakin' expensive that it's just not worth it anymore, snus is so much more enjoyable for me.

Yes - snus stopped me from smoking.

Tried it in Sep 07 in Norway - imported some from BuySnus in Nov 07 and within a month was down to one to three cigarettes a day. Gave up properly at the beginning of 08 and haven't looked back since 4 years later.

Sure - I have had the odd cigarette - but the thing with converting to snus is that it just doesn't matter - the nicotine levels with snus are so much higher that even if you have the odd one it doesn't give you that "ahhhhhhh!" factor to the cigarette.

I have probably smoked 20 cigarettes since 2008 as opposed to 20 a day for 4 years.

    That is a good thing!

Smoked for about 24 years, ish. Completely smoke free for around 6 years now. I was using NRT and i was still in withdrawal, i was an irrational, moody, intolerable prick using NRT, like dealing with a pregnant woman. I had a snus, 10 minutes later i was back to normal, the rest is history ...thanks Sweden!!
