I had bad allergies this past april where i wouldn't even think of inhaling any kind of smoke. I could barely breath. I saw advertisements for camel snus at my local beer distributor and i didn't know what the hell it was. I did some research online and read all about swedish snus and how crappy camel and marlboro snus was. I knew right there i had to have swedish snus. So i placed an order online right away while i was still in no shape to smoke. Now it was time to play the waiting game, but i needed something, so i bought camel snus. i really didn't care for it and it helped the cravings a little bit but i started reaching for the smokes. finally what seemed like weeks , my snus came in the mail. the difference was amazing! I took to it like a pro. I loved it! After 25 years of smoking i finally quit! its been 2 months so far smoke free and i love snus. the following week i placed an order for about 6 rolls worth. I knew what i liked that much.

It certainly did. Using Snus took away the nicotine cravings, which made it easier for me to focus on breaking the actual habit of going outside to have a smoke. I finally quit smoking in January, and haven't looked back since!

    Yes!

I was a 2+ pack a day smoker for many years. I had my first snus in January, 2010. I snussed and smoked for a while, giving myself the option to do either, and I found myself reaching for the snus more and more. Eventually, the snus won and I smoked my last cig on April 16, 2010.

I smoked over 30 years. I had quit once
for a year and then for 3 1/2 years in the late
90's. The last few years a pack of Winston Reds
daily. In previous years I'm sure it was much higher.

I saw the piece on 60 Minutes.

    I found this Forum.

    I ordered from The Northerner.

I had planned to taper slowly as advised.
However I went from a pack daily to 4
cigs the next day, then 3, then 2 and
    then none!

I now have 37 days without a cig.

I have over 15 rolls of snus here now and
    a new freezer.

I figure I will save at least $1200 the first year.
This after paying for the freezer too.

It won't be as much after PACT but still a considerable
saving. And I won;t be inhaling tobacco. There has to
be a health cost savings there.

    thank you all!

Yes. Thirty+ year habit - DONE. No pressure at all and absolutely no concern that I'll start again. With Snus you can even have a cigarette once in awhile with no worry about running out and buying a carton. Snus and snuff are lifesavers!
