Missouri hunter harvests 22-point deer that turns out to be a doe

A Missouri deer hunter got quite the surprise after harvesting a deer with a massive rack. The 22-point buck he thought he saw on his game camera turned out to be a girl. A doe with very large antlers.
Curtis Russell tells KY3-TV that finding the deer he caught on his game camera was almost an obsession.
"I set up in place and sat there for about three hours, they never came so I started moving and they popped out on me and I had to go back and do a little belly crawling through the woods," says Russell. "Got to about 175 yards and the deer finally turned broad side and I was able to put it down."
The trophy wasn't what he expected. That is when he discovered his elusive buck was a doe.
"It took me a minute looking at all the tell-tale signs, but it was missing male genitalia," Russell tells the Springfield News-Leader. "Its face wasn't like a buck's, it was real petite, and she had a great deal of fat on her. I've taken a lot of deer but this had the biggest set of antlers, indeed."

Intruder dies in California chimney after homeowner lights fire

A suspected burglar who attempted to enter a California home through the chimney died on Saturday after the homeowner lit a fire without realizing anyone was inside, police said.
The man appeared to have climbed into the chimney during the night while the owner was away and then became stuck, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
After the owner of the home in Huron lit a fire in his fireplace Saturday afternoon, he heard a man yelling inside the chimney as the house filled with smoke, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
The homeowner tried to extinguish the flames, but firefighters who dismantled the chimney during a rescue effort found the suspect dead inside, the sheriff's office said.
The deceased man's identity and cause of death have not been determined, Lieutenant Brandon Pursell of the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said by phone on Sunday.

Minnesota college students vote against honoring 9/11 victims, saying it’s offensive to Muslims

Students at the University of Minnesota killed a proposed moment of silence for 9/11 victims due to concerns that Muslim students would be offended.
Theo Menon, a Minnesota Student Association representative realized that the university wasn't doing anything to memorialize 9/11.
So, on October 6, he introduced an MSA proposal to asking the university to institute a "moment of recognition" during the mornings of all future September 11ths.
The resolution in no way referred to Islam or to whether Islam itself is to blame for global terrorism. It did not require anyone to contemplate the fact that the terrorists responsible for 9/11 were Muslims. "It merely stated that 9/11 has had a lasting effect on many students, and ought to be reflected upon for a single moment, once a year."
But according to the Minnesota Republic, the resolution proved oddly controversial. MSA Director of Diversity and Inclusion, David Algadi, voiced "severe criticism" of the resolution.
Algadi was not the only one with this opinion. A majority of student government representatives sided with him, voting down the resolution in a 36-23 vote this month. If students had their way, there would be no moment of silence at UMN on Sept. 11, 2016.
But after the university became "inundated" with demands for a rebuke of the vote, UMN President Eric Kaler announced that he would formalize the moment of silence anyway. Kaler told the local press that he "wanted to make sure folks were aware that the U is committed to honoring the victims."

Obama compares Syrian refugees to Pilgrims on the Mayflower in Thanksgiving address

'Nearly four centuries after the Mayflower set sail, the world is still full of pilgrims - men and women who want nothing more than the chance for a safer, better future for themselves and their families,' Obama said in his address.
'People should remember that no refugee can enter our borders until they undergo the highest security checks of anyone traveling to the United States,' Obama said in his address.
Obama has vowed to veto the House refugee bill. But the White House has said it is open to working with lawmakers on tighter security measures for visitors from 38 countries who do not need a visa for short visits to the United States.
In his address, Obama quoted from letters he had received from Americans welcoming Syrian refugees. Urges America to show generosity to migrants fleeing the war-torn country
Obama compares Syrian refugees to Pilgrims arriving in America in 1620 Calls for Americans to welcome migrants fleeing for a better life in the US His address came after he reassured Americans over their security fears Said national security is 'on the case' as Americans fear Paris-style attacks
The President said those who came to America in 1620 were themselves fleeing persecution before quoting from citizens who said they were ready to accommodate refugees.
Obama's plan to accept 10,000 refugees from Syria became a lightning rod for political criticism after attacks, claimed by ISIS militants, killed 130 people in Paris two weeks ago. The United States is leading an international coalition fighting the group in Syria and Iraq.

It's official: 'Homophobia' now a mental disorder!

'Snapping' author David Kupelian blasts new effort by 'loony left' to silence conservatives
If you think there might be something wrong with homosexuality, you most likely have a mental disorder, according to a recent study by a team of Italian researchers.
Discussing the study, lead researcher Emmanuele A. Jannini, M.D., stated: After discussing for centuries if homosexuality is to be considered a disease, for the first time we demonstrated that the real disease to be cured is homophobia, associated with potentially severe psychopathologies.

Thats right. The research team specifically found that psychoticism, immature defense mechanisms and a fearful attachment style were associated with a greater homophobic attitude in individuals.

India blocks visits by U.S. officials despite warmer ties

Washington has been seeking to send Susan Coppedge, its newly appointed anti-people trafficking ambassador, and Randy Berry, its special envoy for LGBT rights, to New Delhi this month.
The countries also disagree on gay rights, which the Obama administration promotes, while homosexuality in India is illegal.
India was happy to work in an international framework to tackle the problem of trafficking, but rejected "unilateral assessments" of another country," he said.

Subway's Jared gets 15 years, blames Subway diet

'Once he lost weight, it seemed as though in a short time he had hypersexuality'

(New York Post) Now he’ll find out what a decade and a half of prison bologna sandwiches will do.
The Subway sandwich chain’s ex-pitchman, Jared Fogle, was slammed with a ??15-year, 8-month sentence on child porn charges Thursday, after a hearing in which his shrinks blamed his more than 200-pound weight loss for turning him “hyper-sexual.”
Subway’s turkey footlongs made him a sex-crazed pedophile, Fogle had claimed in a last-ditch try for leniency.
Fogle “traded a horrible food addiction for a horrible sex addiction,” defense lawyer Jeremy Margolis had argued at sentencing.
