Cool, thanks. Living in Oklahoma, U.S.A. (mid-west) I'm faced with stereotypes all the time. Some people on the coasts think we still have indians (Native Americans) living in teepees and wigwams, tumbleweeds blowing through town, and the occasional shoot-out at the local saloon!

I also think Norway has some of the best landscape and scenery (that is if you like mountains, trees, rain, snow, fog, etc...which I do!).

I know my impression is probably incorrect, but I've always had the thought that Norway has more metalheads walking around than here in America. It's rare you ever hear a young adult playing their "rock and roll" music too loud in America. Everyone seems to listen to rap and hip hop. Is it the same way in Norway?

What do you think about Norway?

I'm working with a school project. Everyone in my class got the same task, but with different countries. One got Denmark, one got Sweden, one got Canada and so on. Our task is to find out what other people from other countries think about our country, and try to see if it's true.

I've asked a Portugese guy, a Dane, an Englishman, a Swede and an Italian. Here's what they said. My comments are in italic.

Portugal: Norway is cold and everyone eats fish.

Norway is cold and we do eat a lot of fish, but not everyone. Mostly in the Northern parts, and amongst the elderly.

Dane: Norway is expensive, everyone are rich, everyone are freandly, Norwegans like fish and beer and Norwegians are proud of their nature and culture.

Norway is expensive, our average income is high, but not everyone can buy what they want, freandliness depends on the person, Norwegians eat a lot of fish and we like our beer and Norwegians are mostly proud of our nature. Some thinks our culture is stupid

Swede: Norwegians are arrogant, rich, cheap, trendy, fashion conscious, good at skiing and they like Sweden.

We might be a bit arrogant, some are rich, the youth is mostly trendy and fashion conscious, Norwegians like skiing, but not everyone - I hate it, and yes, we like what Sweden gives us. H&M, GinaTricot, Monki and so on, and of course, snus.

Englishman: Norwegians are always blond, they are arrogant and most of them work with oil of some kind.

No, not all Norwegians are blond. More than in other countries, but not all. We might be arrogant, and many work with oil, but not more than you'll find in other industries in other countries.

Italian: Norway is the capital of Sweden.

    Hehe...

Please answer, and tell where you're from.
