Thunder Extra Stark, Loose

It can really smell and taste like cat piss when fresh but it hits real good. You'll start to love the taste of cat piss after a few tries haha!

I like it because of its kick, the nice V2 grind, and its price but it can be on the bitter side sometimes although less so than its portion sibling.

Beware of Mr. Brownstone with this stuff guys...

I just got a 40-can delivery but sadly there was none of this stuff in there. I didn't really look for snus 'cos I sprung for a los mix and that did it for variety and I just stuck with staple Grovs and Thunder OP. Because I was hasty and wanted to keep the dollar amount to a certain figure I didn't even look for this product. I think due to price I would have bought it but oh well...shipping would've went up with another roll anyhow. I'll try it in the summer when I order again...sounds delicious though.

Thanks Rick. I had a feeling it would be the same. The Phantom los is just the right consistency and grind for me (I've struggled with nearly all other brands of los apart from Phantom).

Looks like I'll be giving Thunder ES a try in the new year.

yeah, I'm almost sure it does. Haven't had Phantom Blue los in awhile, but I'm almost sure.

Now I am really confused. I have believed, since the summer of 09, that I need really low levels of nicotine. The reason is, all portions, whether regular, white or mini (or any combination thereof), give me niccups. All portion snus leaves too much nicotine draining way too fast for my tastes.

That was the case until today, when I got a roll of Thunder Extra Stark original los. Usually, I do one click of los on a 3 ml Icetool and that is quite enough of a nicotine hit for me. So my plan was to do my usual one click with Thunder, then chop it in half with a razor blade, to keep the nic level close to my norm. However, curiosity got the best of me as I was clicking the pris out of the Icetool. So I didn't divide it and wrapped the los as usual and popped it in.

Strangely enough, the nic level is not too high for me. It is definitely more than I am used to. There was quite a bit of a 'buzz' early on. Since then, it has settled in and feels much like the nic level I am used to. What is so odd is, I did get a can of Thunder portions one time. I did only one portion, because it felt as if gasoline was draining down the back of my throat. I did not want to relive that experience again. My own pris use much less tobacco than standard portions, so perhaps that's why this Thunder los is not only more tolerable, but quite pleasant also.

I like this. I like it quite a bit, actually. Is it just me, or does the smell of it remind others of liquor? The flavor reminds me a bit of liquor too. I just can't remember which one. I will experiment with this one further, especially given I have an entire roll of it. I would strongly recommend for others to try this, and most especially if you are convinced you can only take lower levels of nicotine. Perhaps that's more related to the differences between portions and los, rather than the strength of the nicotine level itself, because this one, although strong, is enjoyable. The flavor is not like any snus I have tasted so far.

I really like this stuff and regularly do half a click on the icetool. Any more than that and I need a toilet and a glass of water....not necessarily in that order.

This snus is wonderful...I fell for it after a few prillas. I once used to be uneasy about anything overly strong. So much has been said about this snus and yadda yadda ya..so I will sum it all up for my point of view.

1. Cheap & Economical - Most places have it around $20 for a roll. It is 16mg per gram so you can decide how much you want to use.
2. Its in a plastic can - Stays fresher hands down versus compressed paper cans.
3. Moist - I've had a can open now for over a week. It is now just starting to dry out a tid bit at 75+ degrees F.
4. Handbakes like a champ - It does, don't believe me...try it.
5. Fawesome - No doubt about it, this is one farkin' awesome snus.

Thanks to CreteCoater for sending me a couple cans of this wonderful lös snus.
